      I've noticed this on most filipino fighters.

      They say it's because of their kickboxing background.

        Typically the native Filipinos have that thick popeye calved structure like Manny. The Filipinos of mostly Spanish descent have a leaner longer frame.

          That is a misconception. Pinoys don't kickbox. Thai's, laotians, cambodians, kick box. Pinoy's martial arts is Kali, Arnis, Escrima which is more helpful with boxing because it uses mostly hands. Huge calves and forearms are Pinoy trademarks due to heavy lifting and working in the fields.

                I think you got it all wrong. Filipinos don't do kickboxing.. Perhaps you mean thai people.
