I always root for a fellow American. Madrimov looks to me like a Russian version of Mayorga with his helicopter blades flinging wildly. You can win on the schoolyard with that, but professionals fight differently. It’s not obvious that Bud will have the KO power he has with a 10% lighter opponent, so I don’t know about a knockout. But I suspect Madrimov will have enormous difficulty ever hitting TC clean, whereas a target like a hyper-swinging Madrimov should not prove too hard to hit.

Madrimov's best win is Soro. Bud should win fairly easily, but I believe he will give Crawford fits at times because of his pugnacity and overall strength.

Never thought much of madrimov, his best wins were against Soro. Not exactly a world beater. That being said I think stylistically this will be a tougher match for Bud. Madrimov is kind of awkward, has good feet and respectable power; however, he makes a lot of mistakes. Finds himself out of balance commonly and regularly lunges in without blocking traffic lanes or even feinting sometimes, I can see Crawford catching him on the way in. Madrimov has seemed to mellow out a bit his last two fights, a bit more restrained, which would serve him well for someone like Crawford who is adept at capitalizing on his opponents mistakes. Gun to my head, I think Crawford by late stoppage but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s an upset.LAchargers373 likes this.

The dude is stepping up in class big time. No one really knows what he has. Crawford is -700 on DRAFTKINGS for a reason.

This is a very good fight against a young live dog in his prime, very fit and ready to go. Madrimov isn't coming in with fear or doubt. He has all the qualities of a great fighter, except he only has 10 pro fights, so he lacks professional experience. It's kinda like how Loma had almost 400 amateur fights, but he still got roughed up and handled by Orlando Salido. He was a still a little bit green, as far as the professional ranks go. Leon Spinks took Ali with only a few pro fights, but Ali wasn't nearly at his best, and was much slower than his prime. Bud is still in his prime and even more refined in his skills than ever. I believe he's still improving, even at age 37. So experience will play a role, as well as sharpness, accuracy and timingPNUT901 likes this.

Bud has such a keen boxing eye that he knows better than all of us just how good Madrimov really is
Madrimov's amateur background is long but not rounded enough to prepare him for Bud's style. For me, this fight boils down to how Bud reacts to getting clipped. If he can handle Madrimov's power, it should be an easy fight to score
