If pac gets a shot at barrios he should take it, he has done a lot for the sport, and for a lot of his people.

God forbid Manny beats Barrios. Who's next, unification with Boots or even a world record multimillion-dollar rematch with Mayweather

Plus, needless to say, a Pacquiao ready for a boxing return would be much more prepared than what we saw tonight.
fans like you would really like to see pacquiao fight until he seriously gets injured or becomes another roy jones. If he couldn’t win one round against an unknown mma and novice boxer you really think he should give it another shot in the pros and beat a top 5 contender?
he is 45 years old for christ sake with nothing to prove and had wars on his body and you still want him to carry on after that performance? He was gassed after round 1 and the reason he only attacked the last 30 seconds of round 3 is because he knows the fight is getting over and he just let go of his remaining energy.

Actually it was good that he took it, it reminded him that he doesn’t have it anymore and should be an eye opener not to proceed with his plans to return. As a big fan, i think he’ll just get hurt it returns especially against any top 5 or 10 fighter.

Pacquiao actually did very good on this match and he started putting out more precise counters near the end of round 3, no doubt with more rounds, he could have won the fight, BUT the bigger problem remains, Manny like in the Ugas fight 2 years ago, his footwork isn't there anymore and he gets tagged easily, which isn't good for his age.
Nah he was gassed from round 1.. im a big fan but only reason he let his hands go in the last 30 seconds was because the fight was nearing its end, and he just spent the energy he was conserving. He was getting pushed around and tagged. First 2 rounds didn’t hit anything but air. If he can’t timed an unknown fighter with 8 losses and a novice boxer then he has no business going back in the pros.

This is actually a good thing. Better getting found out in a 9 minute exhibition than a 12 round world title fight. The media need to stop eating up nonsense from the likes of Sean Gibbons. Nobody wants to see Pacquiao return, he has absolutely nothing to prove.

Pro boxing is a war of attrition. Guys like Michael Conlan and Luke Campbell are perfect examples of guys that can beat anyone for 3rds but once it goes into deeper water, they drown.
Naaah. Problem was anpo wasn’t elite and pac ain’t top 10 pro. He is a 45 year old legend who thinks he can still come back. Anpo is an unknown mma fighter who lost 8 times and 5 of which was KOes. This was supposed to be a feel good win for a possible comeback but instead pac couldn’t win a single minute against him aside from the last 30 seconds where he let his hands go because he knows it’s the end anyway so he just spent the little energy he has left.

no. He shouldn’t comeback. Your analogy is probably right in general, but in this one that is not the case. This is a case of being fossil way past your best and just time to let go of the sport.

Agreed though that his footwork looked similar to the Ugas fight, which is a red flag.
I saw him getting gassed after the first round. Stumbling around often off balance, unsure what to do and was getting tagged pretty easily. And this is against an unknown mma fighter with 8 losses and 5 of which are knockouts — they were banking for it to be an easy fight to begin with and pac lost all 3 rounds except for the last 30 seconds when he went for broke since the fight was getting over anyway..

so no, pac didn’t look sharp, didn’t look anything good. And needs to stay away from his return to pro boxing.

and no he wouldn’t have reached the 10th round with the condition he was in… the chances of him getting tired first than anpo is significantly higher than the other way around..

he’s 45 and got nothing to prove.
