Jan Paul Rivera is a well rounded fighter who appears to be on his way to winning a championship.
This is the second time that I have seen Rivera fight, and he appears to have gotten a bit better since his last fight.
He's sitting down on his punches more, so that his punches carry a lot more power, and he's going to the body more.
If he stays focused, disciplined, and dedicated to his boxing career, he should win a championship in the next 2-3 years.

I was impressed with Rivera. He's pretty good. He outclassed what on paper at least looked to be a serious opponent at 8-0 with 8 ko's
It was an enjoyable night of fights. Good matchmaking. Pero looked pretty good , it's going to be interesting to see what he does in his career. So far he's passing the eye test. I like these new aggressive Cuban fighters that come looking for the knockout. They're a lot more exciting and fun to watch than previous eras of Cubans who kept the amateur styles.
I'm looking forward to watching Morrell this weekend coming up. Hopefully he will be busier from here on out. Fighting at least four times a year is what he should be aiming for. That's a good number for anyone to shoot for. If you get out of a fight with little to no damage , line up the next one ASAP.

First time I've got to see this Pero. I kinda like his brother as well, but Dainer looks more polished but I've only seen 5 rounds. The opponent was pretty lame though, took 3 knees and bowed out. cmon man

I don't know Rosado. I don't know what the deal is with Morrell only fighting twice a year , I don't think that it's his idea though. All of these relatively inactive fighters are going to be missing the extra millions that they could have made after they retire. You never know when a boxing career can abruptly end , so it would be wise to maximize your earnings while you can.
