Just rewatching some of it. What an amazing beatdown. Credit to Lacy for not giving up but his corner should have known better after round 9.

3? Hell, every rd was pretty much the same. I do recall a combo by Joe C at the end of the 6th that sounded sickenin.

Its hard to imagine how Lacy won a world title really, and how he was so overhyped, I remember american posters saying Calzaghe was a polodding journeyman, not in lacys class and would be lucky to last 5 rounds lol.

Lacy was a good fighter on his way to big things. Calzaghe destroyed him.

Lacy was a good fighter, but he wasnt taught basic things to make a world champ. He had no defence, no jab and very very very little head movement, not to mention he winged his punches. If he could have trained with arthur abraham and adopted a style like his then maybe he could have been better. Running into calzaghe just killed him though, it ruined him to his bones, how can you get punched 1006 times in 36 mins of fighting and be the same man afterwards?? i wouldnt leave my bedroom lol. its a shame though, he seemed like a humble buy who entertained his fans and always had an exiting fight. If only people remembered the lacy who destryoed pemberton and reid.
