Crawford is a boxer puncher who has good counter-punching ability. He’s not as good of a pure boxer as Floyd was or Bivol is. Even in his fight against Postol, he fought really well, dropped and outboxed Postol, but it wasn’t a virtuoso performance. Crawford can box in spurts, but he’s really an aggressive boxer puncher.

He would have to be highly disciplined against Canelo. He would would definitely have to study the Lara fight more so than the Floyd and Bivol. Canelo is comfortable against southpaws and Crawford would be no different. Prime Lara was more of a pure boxer than Crawford is, but Crawford is a more complete boxer than Lara ever was.
