Ward was excellent when he was guest commentating on HBO. You could see what he was saying unfold before you.
A little different at ESPN. Not sure why they kept Bradley over Ward. Probably wanted a Stephen A-esq animated type?

What is this all about? Is this a new promotional outfit that could eventually lead to signing Shakur Stevenson, so he doesn't have to deal with PBC, MR, GBP, etc.?
I'm guessing joining DAZN is their main goal, albeit not making it obvious at first.

Soon Tito, DLH , B-Hop, Tarver, Toney, Shane, Lennox, Klitschko’s, Evander and Bowe ( the last two both have problems speaking as a result of taking too many shots to the head) will get on this bandwagon and Turkie will gladly get into the circus business with JP being the biggest ring leader. It’s going to take a tragedy in the ring to end this BS
Andre Ward was with ESPN for 6 years. ESPN decided not to renew contracts of a few people including Ward. ESPN was cutting higher earners. This is on multiple websites. So when you say he “couldn’t make a living” as a boxing analyst, you clearly have no clue what you’re talking about.
How much money do you think he was making at ESPN?
“Forced to hustling”? What is this man! Roy Jones, George Foreman, Tim Bradley, Lennox Lewis, etc were all “forced into hustling” for sports networks?
What’s with the negativity?

What’s with the negativity?
Ed Henry: was a high earner, but, was involved in sexual misconduct.
Roger Ailes: Fox CEO was fired because of sexual harassment.
Tucker Carlson: After FOX had to pay $787M to Dominion Voting Systems because he willfully lied to viewers about the 2020 election.
Sean Hannity and Maria Bartiromo should also have been fired because like Carlson, they were participants in the lies.
Don Lemon: CNN host got fired because he was a misogynist who argued with other female host.
Chris Cuomo: Aided his brother Andrew in a sexual harassment scandal.
Teddy Atlas: After going nuts on after after the Pacquiao/ Horn decision. Teddy acted like a thug on air and just couldn’t handle his emotions.
Finally, Andre Ward just wasn’t up to his color commentary job and was quite boring. When ESPN made drastic cutting he wasn’t worth keeping. Also, Ward didn’t help himself after he called out Tim Bradley over hypocrisy shown towards Canelo who many fans are convinced Canelo is given special treatment.
Ward was as boring an ESPN analyst as he was a fighter.
Getting off the tangent, and this has nothing to do with his ESPN firing, Ward was a dirty fighter and low blow specialist.
Haters just hate and offer no facts. I respect you being a Ward fan, that’s cool. I think Andre was a good fighter but also think he was overrated. His style was quite boring, and I personally feel he was protected. His first win against Kovalev was a gift. If you want to give Ward the benefit of doubt, there is no way you can give him more than a draw and that’s being generous.

I was just focusing on your choice of words regarding Ward’s “inability” to earn money. I don’t believe Ward is broke and he made modest money as analyst working less than 6 months a year. Ward lives a modest life and we don’t hear any gossip about him.
I am only defending that part of his life. Like you, I believe Kovalev beat Ward in the first fight and like most foreigners that come to the US, he got robbed.
Ward was an extremely resourceful boxer. I would not put him in the level of a Hopkins (the dirtiest fighter ever) but I’m inclined to agree with you on Ward’s dirty tactics.
Other than that, I don’t think Ward is broke. He’s a family man and has stayed grounded but yes, he is a dirty fighter.
