'Badhi, 30, who was ten years younger than Sylve, 20'

You have this AI software that will not allow me to state on this site, for example that Panama Al Brown was gay, or that Benny Leonard was a ***, & it doesn't pick that up? Come on.

I gotta say I read the article about Sylve before the fight & it concerned me. Boxing is too brutally hard a sport to ever not be voluntary. I got the clear impression that Sylve never wanted to box & his dad forced him down that road. Obviously, lots of boxers come from fighting families, but my understanding is that Tyson Fury (say) or Floyd Mayweather or Tim Tszyu made a very clear choice that they wanted to follow their father into the ring. In some cases, like Conor Benn, Chris Eubank Jnr, & Campbell Hatton, they were expecting to garner success just based on their father's name. Sylve definitely gave the impression that he wished he was doing something different with his life.

It was horrible matchmaking. Any fighter under 23 needs to be developed and matched properly. Matching a 20yo against an undefeated 30yo with a 90+% KO ratio is a huge/****** risk.

Don't agree. You need to move young fighters along to know if they any damn good. I remember an 18-yo Prince Naseem fighting for the European title against a guy who was about 30 & whose record was like 62-2-1 when Naseem's record was, like, 11-0. Naseem schooled him & the commentator, Reg Gutteridge, a real old-school fighting man, was furious that Naz disrespected the champion. The point is that Naz loved boxing & excelled at it. I don't think Sylve loves boxing & I don't think he wants to do it, & if his father keeps forcing him into it I have a horrible feeling that he will get hurt.

i completely disagree. He was winning the fight easily and got a lil to relaxed and paid the price. if he had stayed on he would have won every single round. You live and you learn
