I saw Ashton move up through the Amateurs.

    Good skill and decent power.
You touched on it a bit with your comment of his lack of enthusiasm.

I always saw it as a sence of entitlement.
His Father runs a good gym in Long Beach California and does a pretty good job coaching.

But ever since he was a kid he had that " im gonna be a star " attitude.

    Well.
    Back to the drawing board.
This is a life altering KO physically and mentally. Will this capture his enthusiasm now? We will see…

He just got Ko'ed of the Year on a DAZN Paul card.

It's probably at a master architects drafting table at this point.

Is a KO like this usually career ending as in a fighter wont ever be the same because now theyll be hesitant to throw for fear of getting knocked out again?

That would be one way of seeing it
          Makes you rethink everything
And when you have fractions of seconds to decide usually it’s already to late

I agree that was a carreer changing KO.

But the first thing that popped in my head was if he would retire after this.
                  And if he does.
Will his dad still be committed to his gym.

Gonna be hard to call it quits when your life revolves around the sport.

Hopefully Ashton and his Father make the right choice for him.

I'm 100% sure Ashton will continue. A number of guys have been leveled and come back. Many people thought Pac had died from that Marquez punch. But this will probably make him a safety-first fighter for all his fights. He cannot drop his hands or carry them low. What caused the KO was one word that had two different meanings. One fighter loosened up his defense and the other fighter loosened up his punches and bam!

What's scary is that even after the fight, going back to the dresser room, the kid was still not walking straight.
