Loma has been a great fighter but its very possible Tank would beat him up at this point and I think he knows it.

his last two fights were a year apart, he hasn't been an active fighter. So I don't completely buy the excuse he wants to spend more time with his family. He didn't seem to feel that way when Kambosos was the opponent.

I dont doubt his willingness to take risky fights where he can lose but I think he knows Tank is a different animal to fighting Haney and a loss to Tank wouldn't just be a tippy tap points win for Tank if he was to win.

If they want to preserve an ageing Loma and get a few more paydays out him, probably wise to avoid the fighter most likely to ice him, which is a good possibility in 2024.
