'But this fighting and opportunity means a lot to me, so I turned that left hook into a choke. He was lucky. I don’t know what he’s trying to do, if he’s trying to get in my head or something. I could have slapped him there and still been cool, calm, and collected.'

That makes no sense at all. I think Lane is getting into Cain's head. Obviously, there can never be a 'nothing' fight in the same way as a 'nothing' match because every time 2 men get in the ring to hit each other tragedy could happen. Fact remains, Lane is one of those guys we've seen a lot of recently, like Tyler Denny & Lewis Crocker, who have spent their whole career fighting down the bill &, late on, achieve a championship. Lane has won the British title. I'm sure if you had said that to him 2 years ago he wouldn't have believed it were possible. Nothing that can happen tomorrow affects that so, really, Ashley has nothing at all to lose.
Cain, by contrast, was being built up to be the next big thing. He was meant to be on a level with Hamzah Sheeraz & Dennis McCann. Then he got sparked by an opponent who wasn't meant to even be threatening. Now, he has to beat Lane very clearly. A split decision win for Cain would really be a W for Lane & a L for Cain. He is under pressure &, to me, he is not reacting well to that pressure.
