  • Comments Thread For: Isaac Cruz yearns for another shot at Gervonta Davis with full training camp

"Pitbull" proved that a fighter can evolve into a star even in defeat, and the performance led to four straight appearances as a co-featured attraction on pay-per-view cards, the most recent one in March being an eighth-round stoppage against Rolando Romero to capture his first world title. Cruz (26-2-1, 18 KOs) will be showcased again on a mega card when he defends his WBA junior welterweight title for the first time against Jose Valenzuela (13-2, 9 KOs) on Aug. 3 as the co-main event to Riyadh Season's debut event in the United States.

Tank prefers them to be an "OLD" Champions or not Champions at all. Dude hasn't even unified a divsion even though he is the Cash Cow and has the option to fight anyone he wants. He got an Email WBA belt.

Cruz must have forgotten that Tank beat him with one hand. To me this fight seemed like a case of a guy doing a lot better than expected , and thinking that he won because of that. No way did Cruz win the fight. With two good hands Tank beats him easily, and most likely puts him on the canvas , wondering where he is and how he got there.

Seriously who hasn’t fought a “ name “ or two to boost their profile? That’s how reputations are built and KOing those names helps you to become the cash cow. Seems like you’re just a Tank hater

Didn't Davis hurt his hand in the fight though? It could possibly happen again.

I wish Team Cruz would stop chasing Davis and try to unify 140lb. But Cruz is with Sean Gibbons, so I don't expect much. Cruz will be matched carefully until he gets Davis again.

Chiwawawa Cruz. He wants a rematch even tho he lost almost every round vs tank lmao but…He didn’t get KOd. The one opponent who didn’t win rounds vs tank but didn’t get KOd. Put him in against prograis or Matias and give him a reality check

It's getting creepy Isaac. Cover up the "Only For Tank" tattoos and get back to your career.

This would have been a cool prospect type fight not too long ago. Valenzuela got shell shocked by De Los Santos and it hasn't been the same since. He had a couple of fans on NSB; I wonder if anybody thinks he can bring anything in this fight.

Valenzuela is legit and can give tank real problems but tank has proven he has a great chin and it’s not wise to take one to give vs him that will be his downfall imo. Kids got dynamite in his hands tho so it’s conceivable he could hurt tank
