Comments Thread For: The only thing Jaron Ennis is missing? A proper challenge
The greatest takeaway from Jaron Ennis' first welterweight title defense, a fifth-round stoppage of Russia's David Avanesyan on Saturday night, is what a pure talent he is.

He will be fine. Too exciting a fighter to not become a draw. Once he is a draw, all these fights will come to him. He is the war no one wants to start with right now though. Just way too terrifying big guns pointed at you, with not enough cash to risk the artillery's barrage.
I never understood why he didn't sign with PBC. Did they not want him? Did he not want to sign with them? Was he not watching how tough it was for Crawford to get fights at 147? Now he wants somebody to throw him a bone? It's like he's choosing to do things the hard way, and crying about the results. What is Hearn going to do for him at 147 or 154?
Crawford had said he wanted to be undisputed and move up. He became undisputed and moved up. He wants all the belts at 154. I could be wrong but he has been saying that for a few years. He wanted to get charlo since he beat his gym buddy. Now charlo isn’t undisputed so bud is going for 1 belt first, and then we will see given his age. How’s that like canelo n Benevidez
Ryan, Lopez, Haney are all coming to the Welterweight division. I hope Ennis doesn't move up just to avoid the 3 kings.
This has to be sarcasm? You can’t believe Boots is afraid of any of those so called “Kings” do you? Seriously? Boots should unify with Stanionis, if possible, and then it should be Vergil Ortiz Jr., if he becomes a Champion @ 154 in August! That’s the BIG fight he needs!
