Comments Thread For: Chris Eubank Jr. must decide if facing Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas makes 'financial sense'

The promoter of Chris Eubank Jr believes the chances of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez taking on his charge in September are at "50/50". Ben Shalom, who recently added Eubank Jr to his burgeoning stable at Boxxer, said that negotiations with the Mexican superstar are ongoing, with Las Vegas the likeliest city to play host.

Since Eubanks has been handpicked to lose, why not face Canelo in Vegas. Bud is fighting his opponent in the states.

Assuming Canelo and Bud secure victories, why can't they face each other next?

If Bomac trains Eubank for this, Bud's chances against Canelo go aLLLLLL the way up

Better not play hardball. If Canelo is willing to face a guy like Eubank, Jr., literally anybody else will do.

This is like another stay busy fight for ginger, Eubanks jr in his big domestic fights (losses to BJS, Groves and 1-1 against Smith). Ginger back to feasting on domestic level brits and Hearn is more than happy to keep feeding him because Brit casuals just keeps tuning for some reason lol

If Eubank Jr turns down a Canelo fight, he'll regret it for the rest of his life.

I would say the odds are much, much lower than 50/50 if the Eubanks think that they are the ones that n the drivers seat during the $$$ negotiations with Canelo…

There's no chance in hell that Eubanks can win this fight, Ray Arcel, Angelo Dundee and Eddie Futch all RIP, can train him and he ain't winning. Just like munguia, ryder and all the other handpicked canelo's opponents

Shalom just proving he is a rookie promoter saying all the wrong things that make zero sense.

What are all these big fights that Eubank has waiting for him? Liam Smith rematch. BJS rematch? Connor Benn fight ?(when) ? None are getting close to the $6 million he should make against Canelo.
