Comments Thread For: Tim Tszyu outlines his '20 steps forward' plan after upset loss

Tim Tszyu doesn't like waiting around. But that's what he has been forced to do, primarily because of the grisly cut he sustained on his forehead during his March 30th bout versus Sebastian Fundora.

Bud missed his chance to beat Tim to be great 4 division champ with big name tszyu, son of kostya.
Fundora won't be considered special beating tim, but bud beating Tim would've been seen as proof of his brilliance?

I agree - very click-baity title - not sure how it is with Boxing Scene but with newspapers,, paper and online, there'soften a separate editor writing the headlines. Perhaps someone from NSB could confirm but probably not - it seems beyond them to engage with their readership directly.

Maybe i missed the 20 steps plan but i feel Tim is a guy we should all be rooting for. Old school warrior.
I wonder where the hell Brian Castano is. He would be a perfect comeback fight

Yeah, no actual 20-step plan outlined. They probably would've been better of just titling it "Tim Tszyu Smiles."

Obviously Tyszu wins if not for the freakish cut from the freakishly tall dude. A shame. Tyszu had a lot of momentum and he is the real deal. Patient and calculating, KO power, great chin. Tough, no quit in him. The kind of fighter we need if boxing is going to survive.

Hope to see Tim back and fighting big names soon.

The nitpicking about this headline is ridiculous. It simply and accurately makes reference to a DIRECT QUOTE Tszyu made about taking “20 steps forward.” You’re not supposed to take it to mean Tszyu has a literal 20-step plan - or bash the writer for not listing the 20 steps.

Tszyu could have easily have said “5 steps forward” or “10 forward” or “100 steps forward. It’s not like there’s anything to literally count; it’s just a figure of speech. Geez! Why does this even need to be explained?

As for Tszyu, he’s one of my favorite fighters: he’s got personality and talent; he’s obviously confident but doesn’t take himself too seriously. He’s been more gracious about his loss than clueless guys like Shakur Stevenson have been about their wins. I think when it all ends up, Tszyu will have a much more lucrative career than Shakur.

Tim Tszyu has done pretty well all things considered. i cant think of another fighter who grew up with a rich famous boxing champ father who did better. They usually flop. Look at george forman and shane mosley's kids they flopped.

You obviously stand alone 'cos nobody else sees it that way. It is a CLICK BAIT. It says Tim Tszyu outlines his '20 steps forward' plan after upset loss. That is actionable, literal in every sense and far from a figure of speech.
