Why do fighters say dumb **** like this? If he's nothing Special how bad are you going to look if you lose?

Why not say, "He's a great fighter nbut i think i have the edge." that way if you lose you don't look like a dumbass.

lol. he doesnt look like a dumbass if he loses. he looks like a guy who did his job before the fight, hyping it. its part of his job to put asses in seats, and these type of events right before the fight are a great way of doing that.

dont know why ppl have such a hard time getting this thru there thick skulls. talking trash = money.

in taylors case i think its also a way of calming himself down and making himself more confident.

No,it take a special heart,and special heavy hands and strongness to walk trough Taylor speed,athleticism and habilities in order to knock him out(what WW and Hopkins didn't).

Abraham has all these tools,but unlike Pav and Froch he's shorter,really shorter than JT,and I think it's what can make the difference.

Yeah I remember Taylor sayin the same **** about Carl Froch, "I'm embarrassed because none of my friends know who the hell Froch is" or whatever the hell the quote was. He also said some **** about Pavlik in the first fight along the same lines as being "nothing special."

Funny how fighters always denegrate their opponents before the fight, then hype them up after they win. Of course it's much worse if they lose.

Naw, he's pretty good. I think Jermain's got this though. Speed will be a big factor. AA hasn't fought a guy with Taylor's explosiveness. Even if he decides to be more agressive, he'll be hit more often.
