Comments Thread For: Roman Gonzalez shows mastery in stoppage of Robar Barrera

Roman Gonzalez, 37, is no longer at his towering peak. But on Friday, before his adoring Nicaraguan countrymen, he demonstrated his brilliance once more in dominating Rober Barrera in a stoppage win.

Chocolatito well deserved, man has been in many wars, he now deserves soft cushy fights to wind down his career but unfortunately his weight class has some explosive craftsmen

I’d like to see Gonzalez vs Donaire. Two future first ballot HOF’ers.

What a brilliant fighter. Chocolatito is an artist with gloves.
Barrera is a courageous fighter , his corner should have been a little less brave though.

I thought that Nonito was done , last time that I saw him , him and Rachel were training a guy.

He said prior to Zerafa’s fight he wants to break B-Hop’s record.

I wouldn’t want to see Nonito fight an up and coming guy but I’d be up for seeing him mix it with a fellow legend like Chocolatito.

Last night Chocolatito was saying that they are really close and on the same team ( Teiken) , that they're a family , and that the money would have to be right for them to fight. At first it sounded like he was saying that they would never fight , but then he swerved and said that for the right money they'd do it. As much as I love Chocolatito as a fighter , at this point in his career , I think that Bam is just too much for him. I would still love to see the fight and the passing of the torch to Bam. Hopefully they can get it done soon .

Takuma and the WBA belt needs to be the target, Choco's best chance at becoming a 5 weight champ, then he can defend it in big money fights until he loses and rides off into the sunset
