However, before everyone screams that Saul, 61-2-2 (39 KOs), is avoiding his closest rival it should be noted that Benavidez is currently nursing several injuries and will not be fit by September, anyway.
This is factually not true. Jose sr said in an interview yesterday David can fight Sept, and that was said only a few days after the fight when it revealed David just needed a few weeks rest. You should edit the article.

Berlanga v Eubank Jr its self would be a mismatch , if old and faded super welterweight , Liam Smith could KO Jr as he did then it's cruel to imagine what Berlanga would do to him , and for Jr to be gifted a shot at Canelo , that's a plain one way hammering money grab mismatch. Jr has won nothing in his 'career' and only really lived off his fathers name.

Apperantly David Benavidez is in Abu Dhabi, perhaps he is contact with Turki and negotiating a bout at the end of the year perhaps?

Will be amazed if Eubank gets this considering he's not with Hearn or Warren.

Sounds like it would be in the States but would fill Wembley. If his excellency is involved bring Canelo to the UK

Maybe, but got to remember that Eubank had done two camps back to back trying to get down below MW to fight Benn. Chuck in losing his brother and the relationship with his Dad at the time and there's plenty of reasons why perhaps he wasn't at his best. Did what he needed to in the rematch so deserves credit for that.

If clenelo doesn't fight Benavidez in May 2025 that's what they will remember and remind him for the rest of his life. A high profile duck

                  Canelo has made himself irrelevant.

I know that I continuously clown canelo fans on here but I’m actually starting to feel bad for them. They have such unconditional love for him that they have spent years being devoted defending anything that he does. He has now left them without a leg to stand on so their choices are either to make themselves look ****** by saying “canelo can whatever he wants” or just go silent. Come back to the world of real boxing fans and leave the groupie mindset behind. Your hero has forsaken you.
