Shakur made it clear that he fights the way he wants to fight, and not how others want him to fight. That's he attitude to have and I can respect that. The fans aren't the ones throwing punches and taking punishment in front of the camera. If they want to leave, that's on them. Why did they even pay for the fight to begin with knowing what they know? He did stand in front of artem, and artem still couldn't catch him with anything, so cry me a river.

Boxing's the only sport where you can be absolutely great, near perfect at it, but people complain about you being TOO perfect at it because they just want to see "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots"

Power is the only thing in the way of Shakur being a complete fighter.

Stevenson is a fantastic talent. Very hard to beat over 12 rounds unless you catch him and hurt him but the style isn't fan friendly at all. But I think he's a guy who's always gonna box the way he does and this is the only sport where you can show skills like that but because you ain't putting opponents away in style you're not gonna get the praise and plaudits

Well, what is wrong with the fans wanting to see a Corrales vs Castillo fight? Nothing Shakur does will be remembered-his fans even leave the arena. If boxing is building a brand to attract viewers, certainly fighters like Shakur will not propell the sport or get people to pay attention. That's the reality. Boxing is an entertainment as much as a sport.

If "rock em sock em" is not skilled or simple-why aren't guys like Shakur doing it? Not everyone is built with balls-Shakur's style proves this.

I'm not completely shitting on Stevenson's performance tonight. He won wide.

But I'm going to repeat what I said in the fight thread.

You call this a "masterclass", but you got to look at the level of opponent.

Sorry, but you can't be one of the "faces" of the sport if you can't put on a show against somebody that gave Frank Martin "problems".

No, Bradley was talking about Shakur being the fighter your favorite fighter won’t fight.
