Will Taylor's physical advantages make a difference in the fight with Abraham?

Jermain Taylor is not only taller than Arthur Abraham, he has a long reach advantage with significantly longer arms.

Will this make much of a difference in the fight? Abraham has fought taller, longer men before like Ikeke and Miranda and won.

    What do you think?

Won't make a difference, AA's guard is much better then Pavliks and Froch. Taylor would have to try and punch throw AA's guard at times if he can, AA has a pretty solid guard.

He's fought taller men, but none as talented as JT.

Like I've said before, it's a decent style match up for Taylor. Abraham won't but the kind of pressure on him that Froch did. Taylor will have some room to work and will build up a lead. But down the stretch, I don't see Abraham finishing like Froch did, so I think Taylor will escape with the win.

He's just gotta make sure to not get caught. But I like his chances of avoiding the big shot more than standing up to constant pressure.

That is, unless we see a more active Abraham at 168. It's possible, but I think the measured pace is just the way Abraham fights.

His physical advantages are overrated because he has terrible stamina. What good is a machine gun if the gun jams half way through shooting your target?

I'd much rather be Abraham. A slow starting fighter with a tight guard and a good chin (to survive the early Taylor onslaught), who will pick it up right around the time that Taylor starts slowing down.

Anyone that wants to bet on Taylor, I'll take Abraham.

Without the deductions, Miranda outpointed Abraham in their first fight. I think it's not out of the question that Taylor can/will do the same. Whether he can survive 12 rounds is the question?

Yes size will make a difference, but Abraham hits harder, his defense is tighter, and he fights at a sustainable pace. Should be a great fight.

Maybe and its a little maybe for me, If JT puts on a jabbing sessions like the Klits brothers then he has a better chance but i still dont see how his stamina would hold out for a 12 round assault because AA would keep coming.

Taylor looked like he actually kept both hands up now during his latest pad work out.

He also seemed to have got rid of that twitch.

AA keeps his hands high, but he still gets hit!!Taylor starts quickly, while AA starts slow!!If Taylor gets through like AA's last opponent, which I believe he will,AA won't have enough to mount a comeback!!Froch & Pavlik forced Taylor to fight, early,if AA doesn't do much, then Taylor will have enough late & AA won't be stronger because Taylor can punch!!

Taylor is the best fighter Abraham has ever fought, Taylor wins UD or Abraham stop him late.
