My bro, the hood doesn’t mean the trap. Also a lot of people may be poor, but they find a way to spend on stuff they want. lol.

Trust me, there will be solid sales. Not everyone streams. Also, least here in Jersey, they shoot a few digital darts before the fight to knock out streams.

I know hood is more of an American term so maybe I’m misinterpreting the meaning, but I grew up in an impoverished area, Toxteth in Liverpool if you’re good with your UK geography. We never had money for PPV’s growing up.

Intercultural interactions are rarely devoid of misunderstandings. “The hood” doesn’t automatically mean an impoverished area. It CAN mean that, it’s just short AAV for neighbourhood. The poverty rate for black Americans floats between 11%-17% depending on variables of such measuring. In comparison the poverty rate last year in the U.K. was 22% across the board. Most black Americans I’ve worked with and know are upper middle class or upper class. The poverty rate is steadily decreasing for black Americans. Seems to me that when he said “hood” there he meant his folks moreso than anything. I can only imagine what the current economic crisis is going to do to the next U.K. stats of 2024.

At fight parties on the west side of Chicago, you can buy plates of food, weed, and liquor. They are making money. The fight just gets people in the door.

If every hood in America tunes in to watch you fight Tank, many of them will be watching to see if Tank can run you down, and knock you out.
