I'm not a fan of Top Rank but I think they do a pretty decent job of developing and promoting their fighters to a certain point. Unlike other promotional banners, they have a dedicated broadcast partner in ESPN that works in conjunction with Bob to hype their fighters.

Shakur has had more than one fight where he looked less than exciting. He hasn't really established his persona to the masses and hasn't displayed the type of charisma that can overcome boring performances in the ring.

I like Shakur and think he's skilled. If he feels Top Rank has stymied his career, he should test his market value but he may be disappointed at the result.

i dont see very many if any white boxers in the sport being protected & they certainly are not the greatest in boxing because u dont see that many of them actually

He came to America and fought all non ranked fighters and was promoted by HBO as the greatest boxer alive. They clowned Floyd PPVweather for not moving up from 126lb all the way to 160lb to fight a guy that was fighting at MW his entire life. All at the same time of protecting 3G from any scrutiny of moving up one weight class to 168 to fight Andre Ward because they knew he was going to get curb stomped. Lomachenko got a title shot in his second fight....UNHEARED OF! ESPN actually tried to eliminate the loss from his record and they would've gotten away with it if a couple of investigative Youtube boxing channels would'nt have called them out on it (good job Dontae, EGO and Champside). Tyson Fury beats Wilder and they called him the best HW ever. WHAT THE FUQ?????? The term "great white hope" was not pulled out of thin air. It is an tried and tested idiom that has been passed down generation to generation. Don't believe me? Well here's the definition from dictionary.com: Something or someone that is expected to exceed. This expression dates back from the early 1900s, when HW boxing champion Jack Johnson, who is BLACK, seemed invincible and the term was used for any white opponent who might defeat him....... hey buddy dictionary.com is run by a white guy...do you believe it now?

when he faced a real protected A-side guy in 'Canelo' he came out the wrong end of decisions which was not surprising as thats how boxing works, undefeated Kovalev with all the belts got jobbed by Ward (twice), if this is protection and i was one of those guys then count me out i would say
