How Did Alvarez Get So Many Haters

Alvarez has given us big fights more often than not

    Trout
    Floyd
    Lara
    Cotto
    ggg 3x
    Kovalev
    Bivol
    Charlo

    probably Benavidez down the line

I’d shake his hand, thank him for all of the fights, and wish the champ the best

Maybe, maybe not. What about Morrell JR?

      Are you being sarcastic?
Trout (open score, and they had trout down, of course, sulaiman make sure there was no tricky business, so trout has to go for the ko)
Floyd (36yo and the old man whooped his @$$, still one judge had it a draw, go figure)
Lara (couldn't and didn't land a significant punch until the 7th, he was shut down from the get-go, and looked like an eunuch fanning his master)
Cotto (past his prime and gave him a good fight)
ggg 3x (waited until he thought ggg was past his best, lost the fight, but the judges saved him again, see Lara's fight, got a draw and then was suspended for ped's in the second fight, and waited four years for the third, this time making sure ggg was really past his prime)
Kovalev (past his prime and a few weeks after a full camp and 12 grueling rounds against yarde, also a few barrels of vodka)
Bivol (cherry-pick going wrong, he didn't win more than two rounds, the judges were on the way to give him another gift, but they changed their minds)
Charlo (Really? He dragged up a 154 an inactive fighter two divisions up)
probably Benavidez down the line[/QUOTE] Maybe, maybe not. What about Morrell JR?

The great Juan Manuel Marquez has been calling him a fraud for years. They now realize he's been telling the truth. As for Canelo, he could care less. His American fan base is huge.

why do the authentic Mexicans give Alvarez a hard time?

as for the Mexicans in America

I never seen a fan group as blindly patriotic

Mexi-Ameris will heavily favor/root for a Mexican even if he sucks

When you’re at the top of the mountain people can’t wait to see you fall.

All the haters cry every fight while he’s cashing $30-50 million dollar checks and has the best resume of any active fighter.

Canelos tv rating in mexico is bigger than what marquez or even chavez had. Of course he has haters. But he is well beyond that..

People saw the way he was moving even when he gets big fights is enough to turn them off. He behaves like a vulture and a diva. That's all you need to know about him.

what I hate the most is that Canelo acts as if he won all those fights decisively. Every time Canelo has gone into a fight that he is not a heavy favorite….he looks like crap and has never really looked elite against a live body.
