  • Is Harutyunyan tailor-made for Stevenson?

What are your thoughts on this fight?

Artem was doing surprisingly well in the first rounds of the Frank Martin show and Frank only rallied in the later rounds. His corner James got worried and told Frank to ramp it up because he's losing the fight.

Unfortunately, Frankie vs Shakie didn't happen because of money issues.

This is the only fight we can compare between Stevenson and Martin.

Shakur wants fans to believe he’s great and says the hate he gets is unjustified. This was a poor choice of an opponent and yes, Artem is tailor made for Shakur.

I see, so Shakie Stevenson is expected to blast Artem Harutyunyan. We'll soon see the result on Saturday. At least you're brave enough to make predictions. Others are becoming too timid with all anonymity this current media of ours provide and all. Everything here has become agenda-driven, race-driven, whatever you call it. I don't know what happened to good old fashion common sense and spontaneity.

For a while I thought this fight is on Friday. In the press conference today the host said the weigh-in will be tomorrow, Thursday.

12 rounds of boredom. 12 rounds of espn rimming Shakur, no thank you.

I'm a serious fan, so I'm not totally dismissive of Stevenson's boxing. He was impressive in the Valdez fight, which is his one and only significant fight. He made it look effortless as compared to Valdez's previous opponents. But then he appeared too cautious and thus boring in the De Los Santos fight. There's also Nakathila who Muratalla summarily dismantled in entertaining fashion. So he hasn't been consistent. I'm guessing this Harutyunyan one Shakur would make it look like the Valdez fight. Of course, it would also depend on how Artem would show up.

Shakie might show his boxing prowess in this fight and make up for his previous lackluster performances.

                  Well said.

When talking about Stevenson, a lot of people act like movement is the main thing in boxing, and then say he's uber-talented.

If he is a great fighter, then he needs to put it all together and box like a champ, instead of making viewers feel like they totally wasted their time watching.

                  And then continue like that.

Thing with Stevenson is he won't even try to engage when his opponent's previous wins are by KOs.
