that ain't happening dude.. Well Manny has a lot of other choices if he wins against Cotto. We have Mosley and other top WW contenders. Or Manny can go back to 140 and fight the top JWW boxers.

The best way to split the purse is to compare each other PPV numbers against similar opponent and put it into percentage

This is how it should go
        Pay Per View Sales:

        Vs Delahoya
        Mayweather: 2.4 million
        Pacquiao: 1.2 million

        Vs. Marquez
        Mayweather: 1.0 million
        Pacquiao: 400K

        Vs Hatton
        Mayweather: 950K
        Pacquiao: 825K

        Total:
        Mayweather: 4,35 million
        Pacquiao: 2.43 million

Mayweather and Pacman numbers together = 6.78

        Mayweather split = 4.35/6.78 = 64%
        Pacman split = 2.43/6.78 = 36%

That is the fairest way possible. Pacman cannot use his P4P status as a bargaining tool since he is P4P #1 because Mayweather retired

        64/36 Floyd kicks Pacmans ass

        ******

pac dont need floyd, get that through your thick skull

i was trying to work this theory if, say, Pac/Cotto did about 1 million buys. Which is highballing it imo.

but, in order for your formula to work, seeing as its based off fights where both fighters have fought a guy, and then comparing PPV sales back to back, you need to not only wait for the Pac/Cotto numbers...but Mayweather must fight Cotto too, and then you compare those numbers.

AMERICA WILL NEVER ALLOW A FILIPINO TO EARN TOO MUCH MONEY.

THEIR BEST FRIEND NOW IS JAPAN,
The Filipinos who died for Democracy in World War 2 are being discriminated everywhere.

I like the aforementioned idea of 40-40 with 20 going to the winner. I think May should think about that. Pretty sure if Pac beats Cotto, May-Pac would do well over 1 mil ppv buys. Hell it will probably double that number. I would go out and say it would probably be the highest grossing fight of all time to that point.
