Schooled is giving up no more than 2 rounds and on top that more importantly, it's when you land your offense and the opponent does not land theirs.

Fighters have won shut outs being overly defensive but not mounting any real offense. To be schooled you have to have inflicted some offense or damage.

Calzaghe and Lacy is the quintessential example.

What schooling happened there. That was a guy outrunning and out hugging another guy.

Whitaker vs Chavez now that was a fighter being taken to school. Hopkins vs Trinidad. Hopkins vs Pavlik.

        About 8-4 is the cutoff

If opponent wins 3 rounds or less, he probably got schooled

it’s competitive when the opponent is good enough to win 4 rounds
manny landed the much cleaner punches against floyd. i dont see how that is getting schooled? very strange statement. not sure if you really believe that floyd did some great boxing there because he didnt. he threw a bunch of jabs that fell short or barely grazed pac while pac picked his spots to land clean punches that rocked floyds head around making clear hard impact. it was a slow fight therefore floyd wins seems to be the general consensus but it was a slow fight where pac did better. even if you thought floyd won with his lack of clean punches, it was not a schooling, but a very weak performance

I find "exposed" is over used. It just doesn't make sense to me that a fighter was exposed in a close fight.

Its pretty clear I feel, a guy totally outboxed his opponent, schooling is technique related you out manovere, out think, out speed your opponent while winning clearly, that's a schooling.

Cotto and manny both won roughly the same amount of rounds off of Floyd

but Cotto was highly competitive while manny was schooled severely and hung his head in shame after the fight

Rounds 4 and 6 were manny. Then either round 8 or 9

Cotto was 3 to 4 rounds

                      Maidana 1 4 to 5 rounds

                      Maidana 2 3 to 4 rounds
