Comments Thread For: Silent Confidence: 'Bam' Rodriguez a Special Breed

Unbeaten two-division champion Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez is anything but the stereotypical attention-seeking 20-something. He plans to make all his noise in a clash with Juan Francisco Estrada on Saturday in Phoenix.

Bit surprised at the odds. Bam at -450 and El Gallo at +300 ? There's the age difference, but still...

A year and a half to be precise. But this is El Gallo, not just any boxer. Ask yourself, would Estrada have beaten Sunny Edwards? I think so. I still give a slight edge to Bam, because he is young, fresh and hungry. But I think Estrada's chances are good.

            Really ? I guess I totally misunderstood
All good I just wished this fight happened two threeyears ago
El Gallo is gonna have a long night
Year and a half is quite long and it’ll take you minimum 6 rounds before you find your groove
Bam gonna exploit that and batter him while Estrada will still be adjusting to the long layoff and the abuse he’s taking
Not taking anything away from him just wished this fight happened earlier in their career

This one might go a bit like Inoue - Donaire I (not wishing for any broken orbitals but y'know what I mean).

Gallo has more in the tank than Donaire did. I’m expecting a great fight.
