  • Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez Says Activity Will Be Key For Him In 2024

Teofimo Lopez is hoping an impressive win over Steve Claggett in Florida this week is just another stop on a busy 2024 journey. Lopez has identified activity as being a key component of his career moving forwards, keeping his skills sharp and keeping his name in the public domain by staying busy.

Claggett will look good until he doesn't. He is better than his record suggests as he had issues with discipline until a few years ago. He is easy to figure out based on his rematch record - he always does worse in rematch fights. If Teo could adjust during a fight or had a brain in the corner who could tell him how to adjust then he'd get Claggett out of their quicker but I'm guessing a KO after the half way point is more likely based mostly on Teo fighting down to the level of his opponents.

If I’m not mistaken, the Ortiz fight was also a tune-up, stray-busy type of fight for him, where he was supposed to shine. Except Ortiz decided to run and make it a stinker. I wouldn’t be shocked if it was in Clagett’s contract somewhere that he gets a big bonus for fighting instead of running the way Ortiz did.

I got a feeling that he will be losing again sometime this year in 2024. I think he is too hyped up and overrated as a fighter.

He actually looked better in the Ulysse rematch scores were just weird for both fights. Both Matt Germain fights looked about the same too. The main difference of claggett is he fought out of a small gym in a region where boxing isn't popular. He now has proper sparring and coaches.

Not sure if you've seen his fights but he shouldn't be hard to figure out since he does the same thing every in every single one of his fights. If Lopez is able to fight at range and move well this will be easy.

Claggett is a come forward and throw 1000 punches kinda fighter. I doubt he can even fight off the back foot so I doubt he'll be running. If he can cut off the ring vs Lopez it will be a long night.

Teo needs to fight the best to look impressive otherwise he gets a big head and over confident.

Eddie Hearn turned down this fight, and Bob Arum should've turned it down as well.
Listen to this clown's talking points for this fight, Claggett is # 1 in all of Canada, and he's top 20 in the division, what the hell is that?
This guy is such an idiot, that he doesn't know when he's making a ****** statement, and actually adding to the complaint's against this fight.
