He's not winning a belt at 147 unless he's put at a similar level for a vacant belt. And even if he wins it he has no ability to defend it - a capable but no-name fighter like Butaev would KO him easily - and bring him no money.
No. He can make money for himself his promoter and his opponent. But he needs to be matched carefully. If Connor Benn was available that'd be a good money maker. I think Rolly Romero can easily make 147- that'd be a fantastic build-up.
And as crazy as what I'm about to suggest sounds - Manny Pac is a better match-up for Manny than Barrios - Barrios is too big and too good (never thought I'd write that) for 45 y.o Manny - But Manny could possibly beat Blair and vice-versa - and they all make great money.
