I really enjoyed Vitalis fights. He was my favorite Ukrainian fighter until Usyk just took over.

        Case in point:

BS: What is your greatest boxing memory?

Banks: Everything I ever did was a great memory, but especially the things I was able to do around even the late great Emanuel Steward was my greatest memory.

Emanuel was not fond of JB. Manny thought he was lazy and several times told him to leave the camp.

You may ask why then did he become Vlad’s trainer? Vlad was lied to and was told Manny wanted him to be his trainer when he passed. That was an inside job and a complete lie.

Also, Vlad was so embarrassed sitting at ringside watching JB fight while JB was his trainer. JB was getting schooled by Seth Mitchell in their second fight and same with Tarver.

Cecilia Braekhus lost 2 times against McCaskill, who has no defense and is wild as sheet with no footwork under JB. The correct game plan was for Cecilia to box and counter, instead she fought McCadkill’s fight. Then the same with GGG in his corner. When Vlad fought Joshua, he hurt AJ badly, Manny would have been screaming for Vlad to finish him. Instead Vlad took his foot off the gas and got KO’ed with JB in his corner.

JB, is one of the worst trainers in boxing.
You have to be one of the worst MF’ers I have seen make a comment on someone, where does your hate come from. You failed to mention Cecilia was dammm 38 & 39 it both fights. JB a good dude but it’s something personal with yo hating ass that’s driving this **** and we’ll find out who your weak ass is too!

You mad bro? Nobody questioning if he’s a good or bad dude. I’m just talking about JB as a trainer. He’s probably a good dude, no question. But, you can be a good dude and terrible trainer, which he is.

Now that we got that out of the way. Let’s look at facts.
JB, trained GGG who went downhill
          Trained Cecilia, again bad results
          Trained Vlad, badcresult

There you have 3 HOF fighters who once JB trained, all lost badly under JB and looked terrible. Go listen to his instructions in the corners for those 3 fighters. Then when you learn something about boxing, take an enema in your mouth and when all the sheet is cleaned out, holler a-whole.

Seems unlikely that Foreman would have a better record. People are too stuck in the legend of "golden era" to admit this.
Holyfield had an all time great chin. Come on, you're embarrassing yourself here.

Each one of those fighters were old and could have had bad results under whomever!

BS: You train Badou Jack. Is he a future hall-of-famer?

Banks: He’s a three-division world champion. So you can't help but become a Hall of Famer. Having that resume that alone is enough to be.

                I stopped reading right there

Look, I don’t need to teach you about boxing inside or outside of the ring. The writer decided to write a puff piece without doing any research.

Next, you might ask, why did JB get the job to train the 3 fighters I mentioned? In all 3 cases, the fighters had a relationship with K2 through Tom Loeffler. All of the 3 fighters agreed to have JB train them because he was cheap and a 100% yes man.

Manny and Vlad constantly argued about $$$. Manny wanted. a % but Vlad only paid him $250- 300K max, that after many arguments. GGG got rid of Abel Sanchez because Abel wanted much more than GGG was willing to pay. Cecilia, also didn’t want to pay Abel what he deserved so in came JB who was willing to work cheap. In the end, all 3 fighters careers went south. Yes, they were all up there in age, I don’t dispute that. But all 3 fought the wrong fight once JB came into the picture. Any trainer worth his salt, doesn’t try to put his stamp of approval on the fighters, they were all high level elite fighters, and JB didn’t have a clue how to develop a winning strategy. In the case of Cecilia, twice she fought McCaskill’s fight. Poor use of her jab, lack of countering a fighter who’s defense is nonexistent, and throws punches from the back of the arena. How in the world did he not fix that? His work in their corner was atrocious and showed he was way in over his head.

The moral of the story, when you already have a winning trainer in your corner, pay them for goodness sake and appreciate how they got you there, but go the cheap route to save money and more often than not, you will live to regret it.

JB, good dude, terrible trainer and tremendous underachiever in his own boxing career. Peace.

Trust me I understand everything you are saying but trying to change or fix an older fighter not that easy. The same way you feel about JB is how I am towards Buddy McGirt he's just a cheer leader that's loud but his results are no better, tell me I'm wrong! He's just been around much longer and has had a chance to work with younger already developed fighters whom were seasoned already. I do agree with paying the trainer. Danny Jacobs at the end was having the same issues and paid the price as well.

Buddy is one of the worse I’ve ever seen
You described him to a tee
Was so disappointed when he started training Gatti
