Examples of previous opponents training future foes

    Hello All, Happy Sunday,

Reading more about Chocolatito training and sparring with Jesse Rodriguez and it really got me thinking about fighters who have helped other fighters prepare for someone they've just faced.

I can't think of an instance specifically where it was the person's last fight - Roman having the trilogy fight with Estrada last time out.

My mind keeps thinking about the heavyweights in the 70s but nothing specific is coming to mind.

Any examples people can think of?

Jamie Moore ended up training Macklin too after beating him several years before.

Think I might’ve misread the OP.

John David Jackson trained Kovalev to beat B-Hop after B-Hop had beaten him years earlier.

Yeah maybe I wasn't clear but thanks everyone for their input - this probably this closest to what I mean
