Comments Thread For: Manager Insists Shakur Stevenson Is Bigger Fight for Tank Davis Than Vasiliy Lomachenko

There are three fights that Shakur Stevenson wants - Gervonta "Tank" Davis, Denys Berinchyk and Vasiliy Lomachenko - but he does not feel he is close to any of them. His co-manager wants to know why.

Stevenson shouldn't have shat the bed last time out if he wanted a big fight, He is the opposite of "must see TV."

If Stevenson can be impressive and get a stoppage in his next fight, people will want to see him. He just needs to remove the stigma of his last fight in a big way. Only concern is he indicated he was weary of Del Los Santos power. If that's the case, he would be way more weary of Davis' power and could fight a self-preserve style type fight and maybe win an unpopular decision. That's why Davis vs Loma is more interesting due to their styles.

Stevenson should be in the Olympic track team running some laps. He couldn't even stop 130 lbs Valdez, how is going to cause damage to the bigger guys than can take stronger punches?

He is not stopping Tank or Loma. He didn't look too masterful vs De Los Santos.

It’s not just the De Los Santos fight where he looked bad, the Nakathila and Joet fights were dreadful also. Complaining about being a victim isn’t going to help his marketability. It just shows he’s an awful person on top of being boring to watch. Stevenson is delusional thinking he deserves all these big fights when nobody is clamoring to watch somebody with less than 50% KO ratio.

To be honest, Shakira Stinkinson's whole career thus far has been dull-it was just the worst in his last fight. Even his prior 3 fights before his last one weren't really exciting and that is literally him trying to be "fan friendly". I'm not watching any fight he's in.

Stevenson should have accepted Devin Haney’s offer and bet on himself to win. Instead he has set his career back with that performance against De Los Santos.

100% agree. Even when he's trying to be "fan friendly" it stinks. Imagine him vs Haney-it would be an empty room before round 5 started.

                  Stevenson has Rigondeaux syndrome.
