It’s pretty telling though I’ve not seen fans this mad over a failed test before and it all has to do with who lost and who won that fight and the fact one is a bigger star than the other and big name fighter didn’t get a pass. Honestly, you don’t hear a peep out of most of the angry people on this failed test who still support fighters who’ve failed even more egregiously. Boxing is a fickle fan base. Haney knew what he was getting into, conte knew what Haney was getting into, and for anyone up here defending Haney, he works with conte. You don’t pair up with a drug dealer unless you are looking for drugs.

They are blaming the low bid on Haney’s next fight on the “loss” to Garcia, but the real problem is the terrible quality of opponent.

It’s tough to sell fights with technical boxers against a non-competitive opponent. You’re not going to see a knockout, you’re not going to see a close fight, so why watch? The purists and hardcore fans might tune in and enjoy a one sided clinic, but definitely not on ppv.

This is good analysis, but most on here have a dog in the fight, which blinds their view of the facts. I agree the commission should release the details. Supposedly, Garcia's attorneys claimed they found contamination in a different lot of the supplement. Did they also find contamination in the same lot? What might have saved Garcia, if he's telling the truth, is the fact he did list the supplement on his testing forms BEFORE the doping finding. All boxers are supposed to write down what medicines/supplements they're taking. I could be wrong, but I think Luis Ortiz claimed he forgot to put down a medication for high blood pressure as the medication contributing to his doping finding. A good question for doping experts is can a miniscule finding of ostarine be a result of contamination, or is it possible he got his cycles wrong. It is interesting to see the positive tests came right before the fight. So, one would wonder if he was tested anytime before that. If so, what do those tests reveal?

Ultimately, Garcia is responsible for what's put into his body. The WBC may even post a list of supplements to avoid, though I'm not sure. If he is innocent, the money he's lost is huge and he might want to entertain a lawsuit against the supplement manufacturer. If Garcia knowingly doped, Haney should file one of the biggest lawsuits ever. The kind of punishment he took and the lowball offer for the Martin defense sticks out. Of course, some could claim having Martin as an opponent is not necessarily that attractive, hence the low offer.

As for the purse bid for the Sandor Martin fight, I think the low $ and one bidder has more to do with the type of fight expected between the two. Neither of these guys is must see tv on their own and combining them is not for the casual boxing fan.

Very few people here genuinely like Ryan, myself couldn’t be further from a fan but I am also not gonna act like the guy working with Victor Conte is exactly clean either. So you can calm down bruh, it’s not that serious. Hell id get in a ring and eat lefts for 10% of what Haney got paid for that fight. Two cheaters, the better cheater came out clean despite a loss. Thats the real narrative here, not race, not finances.
