  • Comments Thread For: Patience Is Key as Joseph Parker Awaits Major Heavyweight Fight

Parker has looked good in his last couple of fights, especially against Zhang.
So Joyce must have really tanked given how he handled Parker....or was it just a bad matchup for Parker? Parker typically is a good mover and smart boxer which one would expect to have given slow and plodding Joyce all kinds of trouble.

Zhang put in a career worst against Parker. He was career heaviest and fell in love with his power, he showed absoloutley no movement at all, stood in the middle of the ring and looked for single counters assuming he just had to land one and the fight would be over, and tbh he was almost right as he smashed Parkers face with one punch, but Parker is a tough guy to finish off and was able to navigate through by being cagey, low volume and only throwing the bare minimum needed to pinch each round with minimal risk.

Joyce pressured Parker all night, stayed right on top of him and tired him out.

Joyce has only lost to Zhang, who is possibly the worst possible style matchup for him as he hits insanely hard and Joyce's style is face first. Nobody can fight Zhang face first, nobody, against Parker Joyce was easily able to take Parkers power.

      Joyce>Parker>Zhang

But I think Zhang can beat Parker in a rematch if he ups his activity by like 20%

no Parker was sick in the joyce fight, that for me was the biggest factor in that loss

If I were Usyk and I defeat Fury in the rematch, I'd make Joseph Parker my next and final retirement fight. And with that Usyk would finish his career having fought the top 4 fighters in the division.

Problem is no one wants to see Parker vs Joshua again. It was such a boring fight. Joshua should fight Dubois and then should fight Fury.

No one really wants to see Usyk Joshua again either. Only Joshua wants that. Joshua can only win if Usyk has aged as much as he looks now

Parker should fight Fury or Usyk.

Parker should rematch slob Zhang on a another Saudi Undercard, easy few mill
in the bank and another W, then wait for the Gypsy cowards bender to continue and jump in to replace him against the rabbit.
