Wouldn't mind seeing Wladdy take it Barney Rubble in a rematch as epic as their initial encounter. Don't know if either fighter has been the same since their fast paced war.........seriously though some of you are sleeping on Luevano, he is much more skilled than given credit for on this board and could UD JuanMa. Also consider JuanMa is going up in weigh too.

If his chin is good, Elio got that.
Gamboa and Concepcion are my men and clashing together is definingwho will be my better man between the two! But I don't agree that Gamboa would beat easily Concepcion, I think any of them could earn victory from another by hard way. Though concepcion's DQ loss to Luevano was his dismal performance ever, I hope he would come up with Gamboa as explosive as he used to be. Because of this, I think Concepcion would take the interim title this time. But I agree that JuanMa might beat Luevano, however judging from his poor performance with Mtagwa, Lueavano have pretty chance of winning too because he is far better than Mtagwa!

Yeah, i think so, Arum don't want to spoil JuanMa's accession, Concepcion & Luevano is supposed to have a rematch but this is a sudden change of plan. And they don't want either of JuanMa & Luevano to have tougher fights either, that's why Gamboa is paired against Concepcion.

        What do you think?

Good match up to take away attention from the non-Caballero bout. Last peformance of Lopez makes him look very beatable and Luevano apparently has a very good chance in beating him. But Luevano doesn't have that much power and its a trend we have been seeing with up and comers potential stars. Its apparent that a matchup between Gamboa and Lopez is in the future

I'm more excited over the Gamboa vs Conception fight. I'm not paying for that fraud to headline a PPV so I might stream.
According to Ivan Rivera, president of Puerto Rico Best Boxing, co-promoter of WBO super bantamweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez, says the fighter will likely face WBO featherweight champion Steven Luevano on January 23 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico. Rivera says the co-feature will likely be WBA "regular" featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa taking on Filipino Bernabe Concepcion. The doubleheader is Top Rank's continued plan to build the mega-clash between Juanma and Gamboa. HBO will televise both fights.

Will JuanMa be ready then? He just had a tough fight and his face needs to heal.

Plus, he still has unfinished business against Mario Santiago.
I don't blame Luevano for holding out, but it's tough to say that he "deserves" to choose who and where he fights. And it's not Lopez deciding where the fight takes place, it's Arum.

Last I checked, Luevano doesn't have any sort of fan base to speak of and hasn't been anything more than PPV undercard filler. But like I said earlier, he's smart to hold out, since there is now demand for Lopez to step it up. HBO will be selective in whom they approve as an opponent, which gives Luevano some sort of leverage at the negotiating table.

Beyond that, I don't see Luevano being able to force anyone's hand to the point of relocating the fight beyond Puerto Rico, NYC or Atlantic City.
