Aside from him, it’s actually a problem for the sport. That’s why ppv buys have dropped across the board and networks are dropping out of the sport. Boxers don’t want to make significant fights with any sort of consistency.

If you really wanna lay blame , this goes way beyond Canelo
Also at fault are the promoters and the managers
The only reason this fight is getting attention is cause it’s a high profile fight but in all reality you can trickle this down to the lower grade fights and the problem begins there
The ppv problem is not the fault of boxing but of greedy promoters and their prices for fights that generally would be free
Thus leading to piracy etc etc making sponsors harder to get
When have you ever seen soccer or baseball on ppv ??!

It means nothing. They're 13 months apart in age and are the consensus 1&2 behind canelo, hey a lot people believe Morrell Jr is way more dangerous than benavidez. Why do you think he doesn't want to fight? He knows Morrell Jr ain't lemiux nor andrade. He's afraid of losing that's all.

Because he offers nothing. Its all risk with zero reward. If he smashes him everyone will say he beat a guy with only 11 fights. Last time I checked no fighter ever takes risky fights with zero reward.
