Why didnt Kelly Pavlik get into the Super Six?

He hasn't fought since the Bernard Hopkins fight but before that he was looking impressive. Is their a reason he got passed on the tournament? But then again this might be better since I get to see the Punisher destroy him in December.

Because he is scared and he should be, 3 out of the 6 would certainly beat him and he would lose what little he has left.

He is a B fighter trying to get by with the least resistance possible.

Pavlik requires too much money to participate in these things. He can make more money fighting Rubios then he can possibly losing to guys bigger than he. His fight with Williams is a smart gamble on his part and can net him some real cash by having Paul's name on his ledger (yes I think that Pavlik will win). I loved the kid as he was climbing the ranks and capturing the title, but his career has stalled dramatically since then for a variety of reasons. I would've liked to see Kelly in the tourney, but I am more than happy with who is in there. Don't get me wrong, Bute and Andrade deserve a chance too, but their fight is going to be great again so no complaints here.
