I am not sold, not at all. High risk low reward, what does Tank GAIN by defeating a washed up Loma? What will it do for his resume? His bank account? I just don't see it

For a start Loma is not washed up, there is no basis to that he has beaten or arguably beaten the current top-shelf guys and he holds a IBF title , its a good fight, lots of people are saying he beats Davis, there is so much negativity getting dumped on everything, I don't mind the fight at all if it happens.

If Floyd wanted the fight before it actually happened, it would have happened. But Floyd never took a fight he wasn't 100% sure he was going to win. That it the true Mayweather way.

I didn't say Floyd ducked Mosley. I said he fought him when he was just a name. Marg would been hell on him but he prolly would beat Marg. but he didn't go for the fight. and just so.i have this clear, do you think Mayweather vs Pac happened at the peak of the fighters game? and yes Mosley had 1 more big performance left in him vs a margarito he believed was trying to.kill him in ring with illegal hand wraps. Great fighters have 1 more big fight in them.and show large in a fight towards end of career. I think Mayweathers biggest skill was to.always be on point in his life and never falling into.traps to where he wasn't ready for a fight. probably the best ever at that 1 point. however his career top wins are truly lacking imo because they were just names. he should have fought pac 5 years earlier, beaten him and it wouldn't be an issue. if he could beaten him. some say yes, some say no. but I seen floyd saying pac was his hardest opponent. and that was a very fight weary pac. not the prime pac

I don’t think Floyd vs PAC happened at their apex. That fight was left to marinate for way too long. I know PAC wanted the fight but the main obstacle to this fight was Bob Arum. There was a time he even said the fight couldn’t happen until the arena was expanded to accommodate more people.

I have the same thoughts you have but in regards to Manny. For as much as we herald his accomplishments, he would have elevated himself much higher had he fought better guys - he fought Mosley who had just lost to Floyd. He fought Brandon Rios and Broner when both were coming off losses. He fought Mathysse who was also trying to come back.

I agree that Floyd shoukd have fought Cotto and Margarita in 2008 but they were both promoted by Bob and those fights weren’t going to happen under his terms. All his boxers left him or sued him so he was always the problem.

of course Arum is a p.o.s. so is 99% of ppl in boxing including boxers. boxing is a very shady sport full of liars at every turn. and nobody escapes it, no matter if it's my favorites or yours. they in same ship. I could go on about Mayweather and iv etc. but really the may pac crap is a beaten horse already. if someone likes Mayweather alot, they look at all the positives to say, if someone likes pac alot, they do same. same as with promotions and all that. those ppl angle sheet to get us fired up lol. pac had some fun fights but I'm sure alot of misses. oh well

Should have been made at least 4 years ago, but if it isn't made within the next 6 - 12 months the window is closing on Loma's prime which is declining already.

I am not saying I mind it, I just don't see the upside of the fight for Tank, Loma is not a box office attraction, never has been, ever wonder why he never appeared in a high grossing PPV? Because despite his technical brilliance, he isn't marketable, and yes he is washed up. A viable Loma NEVER would have lost to a light punching fruit cake like Haney, or been forced to go the distance with a gate keeper like GK. On the competitive side, it's really high risk, like Duran was to Barkley, or Hopkins was to Pavlik, aging fighters always have one last great performance in them, no need to give the killer from Ukraine that opportunity to screw up the apple cart with limited financial return coming in.

I dont like assuming and stating what people think you are stating what you have no clue about its pure assumption, I run on what the known facts are, in that you need to go and look at ALL the evidence because right now its all there to be seen.
