If Manny wanted the fight before it actually happened, it would have happened. But Manny never took a fight without a catchweight from 2009-2011 so how was he ever going to fight Floyd at 147?

Great fighters have 1 more big fight in them.and show large in a fight towards end of career. I think Mayweathers biggest skill was to.always be on point in his life and never falling into.traps to where he wasn't ready for a fight. probably the best ever at that 1 point. however his career top wins are truly lacking imo because they were just names. he should have fought pac 5 years earlier, beaten him and it wouldn't be an issue. if he could beaten him. some say yes, some say no. but I seen floyd saying pac was his hardest opponent. and that was a very fight weary pac. not the prime pac
First of all, wow! This is a solid response from you. We should be fighting and arguing like there’s no tomorrow lol
I don’t think Floyd vs PAC happened at their apex. That fight was left to marinate for way too long. I know PAC wanted the fight but the main obstacle to this fight was Bob Arum. There was a time he even said the fight couldn’t happen until the arena was expanded to accommodate more people.
Have a look at these two reads.

Among the reasons Arum has thus far floated for Pac-Man "turning down" Mayweather's previous offers: a cut, an aversion to the invasiveness of the Olympic-style drug testing about which Pretty Boy Floyd has been insistent, Mayweather's jail sentence (which has since been delayed to account for his booking of the MGM Grand Garden Arena for a May 5th fight), and most recently, Arum's desire to have a temporary 45,000-seat outdoor stadium erected on the Las Vegas Strip to milk even more money out of a proposed mega-fight.

I have the same thoughts you have but in regards to Manny. For as much as we herald his accomplishments, he would have elevated himself much higher had he fought better guys - he fought Mosley who had just lost to Floyd. He fought Brandon Rios and Broner when both were coming off losses. He fought Mathysse who was also trying to come back.
I agree that Floyd shoukd have fought Cotto and Margarita in 2008 but they were both promoted by Bob and those fights weren’t going to happen under his terms. All his boxers left him or sued him so he was always the problem.

Should have been made at least 4 years ago, but if it isn't made within the next 6 - 12 months the window is closing on Loma's prime which is declining already.

Its all so far behind and so much has been shown, do you know why they say hindsight is 20/20 vision, I guess in your case if you don't look its bag over the head time.

Si you agree that the “great” Manny would have demanded a catchweight like he did most of his opponents.
It’s refreshing that you acknowledge the truth.

You think he's the one who chose Barrios for his ultimate (and a bit sad) comeback? Maybe you're just a Mayweather fan that used to take on Manny's fans. I myself am neither.
