Benavides average performance could be a blessing in disguise for making the Canelo fight come to fruition

Had he blasted the Ukrainian out of there no way in hell would Canelo fight him but after this average performance Canelo has got to be wanting to jump at the opportunity for a mega showdown in September.

Because he's going to have to walk through hell to do it.

He'll never be the same afterwards. Not at his age with his mileage.

Idk why. That’s just what Benavidez looks like against a guy his own size. Gvozdyk was old though, but had a good chin and good size on him.

Plant was also closer to Benavidez size but not quite, and had no power. But still Benavidez struggled for the first half.

But these fights don’t show what success Canelo would have, as Canelo is 5’8” and a former 154lb champion.

If anything, the fights against Plant and Gvozdyk show what Bivol could do against Benavidez. I think Bivol would whoop Benavidez.

            Easy work

            Bivol knocks Beterbiev out

            next up Jai Opetaia

that’s all time great: Alvarez Beter Jai

Bena would be cherry on top

there’s also Morrell the Cuban who loves to FIGHT instead of box

he gassed and couldn't really hurt Gvodzyk, but Benevidez still won an easy clear decision. It took Golovkin barely scraping a decision against Jacobs to entice ginger. It took Kovolev going life and death against Yarde for team Canelo to quickly send him a contract without any recovery time. I don't know if Benevidez' performance was bad enough for team Canelo lol

Uh Gvozdyk is completely shot. He has 2 cement feet and 0
                pop in his hands.

his defence was legit just eating everhting Bena thru until he gassed

He won almost every round...he slowed it down a bit after he had it wrapped, why wouldn't he?

I think the size bothers Canelo, if they fight I think Canelo can beat him, I don't think DB can beat Bivol or Beterbiev either, but he is a good solid fighter and wont be a pushover unless his chin cracks.
