The weight class is new for David Benavidez. The stakes are the same. But he hopes the outcome this time will be different.

Maybe he can't get what he wants.
But he can get what he needs - Morrell!
    Man up, Mexican biatch.

Exactly. These dudes wanna do everything except have tough fights against guys they don't have any advantage over. Both Morrell and Mbili are available fights.

I don't even think he is gonna have an easy time tonight. I expect him to get beat up before he eventually wears govdyk down late

Somehow, Morrell got "anointed" as the next big thing but hasn't beaten any top fighters to earn that place...yet.

I have not followed the career of Gvozdyk. What little I've seen makes me think he's good enough to stay with Benavidez unless he gasses out. Benavidez has shown he's got a pretty good gas tank. Gvozdyk will need to have worked really hard on his stamina. If he did, that'd make it a 50/50 fight. If he didn't, then Benavidez stands a good chance of winning a stoppage in the middle to later rounds.

Edit: Like I said, I haven't followed closely. So now that I know the fight is in Vegas, I will say that Gvozdyk needs a knockout to win, or a performance so gobsmacking dominant that even the Vegas boxing mafia won't throw it to their man.

A fight with Benavidez gives him a chance to do that but Benavidez crys about being overlooked whilst he does the same himself.

The Benavidez -Morrell winner would be in a place - as the "unified interim" (what bulljhit!) champion with two sanctioning orgs - that would be virtuslky impossible for canelo to ignore.

But Benavidez doesn't want to take the gamble!
