Amazing that Boxingscene is not even acknowledging the Subriel Matias vs Liam Paro showdown in PR. Wow…times have changed. An undefeated fighter vs another fighter that has gained the reputation of the boogeyman of the 40 division. Amazing!

PBC had nothing for Matias who wanted to stay busy. He should be having co-main, instead of carrying the event on his own. He's still a nobody in the world stage. DAZN is losing money on this Paro fight.

He's slower, not as talented as Gervonta and can't hit as hard so I'm picking Tank all day long and I'm from Detroit for real! The East side also.

            Amazing indeed.

Too bad Matias vs Paro didn’t involve some UK prospect with less than 5 fights. The new BoxingScene would have a long ass article about that, guaranteed.

And that is the problem right there. Mediocre boxers being promoted and shoved down peoples throats. Boxing has been streamlined to the extent of selling a product to the public of an overpayed athlete who promoters dress up disguising reality. Take a Devin Haney, or a Teofimo Lopez as perfect examples. Protected by promotional companies that have slowly taken away the true essence of the sport and have no problem selling a fake product.

Another paper/money grab type of fight. They keep manipulate and feed their crowds with this type of fights to cash in. Didn't see no pit bull rematch, no Loma fight, no Lopez fight.

You have some experience, or so I gather... I have been trying to get a picture of Martin... I began to see why they picked him lol. He definitely moves well but the guy seems, at least from watching a few of his fights, to be very hittable. He tends to move back, often dropping the hands when doing so, and resetting. I picture tank following him back and clocking him. It just takes too long to step straight back, to avoid a fighter who can anticipate the distance... Or that is how I read it.

It would be different if he was on his back leg when moving back, or if he used more angles. I am reminded of when Ali, who could get away with it often enough, stepped back and Frazier timed his hook just right!
