Carlos Adames' only slip in the ring was against a crafty boxer, so as he heads to his first WBC middleweight title defense Saturday night, he embraces the assignment of another complex challenge

Janibek vs Adames is the only big fight that can be made at 160 right now. Just hurry up and get at it. Track down the WBA strap later.

I really don't like this dormant, inactive guy. I hope he loses to Gausha. Can't wait.

Lubin called him out right after his last fight with Williams. Adames responded angrily
and told Lubin to fall in line as if he's some mega PPV star.

There's also Janibek who's been calling him out since time immemorial. Clearly, he chooses to be inactive.
So there's no point for fans following this guy. I for one would rather see him disappear.

A truly awful division, sad times.

Not sure who isn’t keen on this fight between the two or if it’s the promoters, but I saw Janibek calling out Benavidez for a fight at 168 on x/Twitter lol l

Sounds like he doesn't want the fight, which is disappointing. Then again, Bob and Al aren't keen on working together so maybe he's just being realistic because he knows the behind the scenes situation. As with a lot of fights, this probably needs Saudi involvement to happen.

Adames and Lara are both with PBC, they should make that fight, then maybe afterwards the Saudis will put up money to stage the 4 belt unification.

                Janibek isn’t all that.

Lara is waiting and ready to blast the winner of this fight. Gausha might get his rematch with the Cuban fighter.

Adames fights about once a year against B level opposition. Hardly the credentials of a "champion". Sounds to me like he doesn't really relish facing Janibek.
