It’s beyond obvious at this point. Canelo doesn’t want that smoke.

He just take a shot at Mayweather by saying that Tank wants to give fans what they want and doesn't want to win by unanimous decisions?

Ellerbe says Canelo can fight whoever he wants, but fans will keep the pressure on for a fight with Benavidez.

To me, When you are pricing yourself out in the tune of an unrealistic number, it screams, I don't want that fight. Greed plays into it a little bit, but in this case the greed plays into it for the simple fact that fighters who use this tactic saying to themselves, I'm not confident in winning, and I don't know how much it will affect my purses if I lose, so let's cash out right now....

Scared, being a puss, managing risk, being avoidant, preferring lesser threats. Phrase it however you want but Canelo clearly is embarrassing boxing at this point and the only ones defending him are his groupie weirdos who gave up their dignity years ago anyway.

Ellerbe is biased. Of course Canelo is his guy. His company ate good from that Canelo fight. Plus, they bond over a mutual hatred for DelaHoya. Any public display of solidarity with Canelo is a way to jab DelaHoya for both of them. But history is the best teacher. We've seen avoidance in boxing countless times before. Canelo doesn't want to face Benavidez. That's been obvious for years and years now.

It's obvious to anyone who isn't biased that Canelo is ducking Benavidez. A year ago he declared he wouldn't fight another Mexican, and then he fights Munguia. Ellerbe continues to sell Canelo as a great, fearless fighter to elevate Floyd's win over him.
