Bob arum: manny fisrt priority a rematch with cotto?

Bob Arum apparently is not beleiving at all that paquiao is going to win that fight. he is beginnig to incline to beleive that the filipino will lose this fight. then he said, " if manny lose this fight he STILL one of the best boxers. hummmmmmmm, sound fishy to me.

He knows that the fight can go either way, not that Manny will lose for sure.

I have a feeling Arum will push for a rematch regardless who wins. As long as the fight is competitive, Arum will see that as enough reason to sign a rematch so he can reap all the profits again. I believe both Roach and Pacquiao wanted a fight with the Mayweather-Marquez winner, but Arum seemed to be the only one who pushed for the Cotto fight. It will be a great fight nonetheless, but it seems like Arum sees his fighter and trainer's opinion as secondary to his.

Manny's handlers said months ago they dont want to fight Floyd, so this is in union with past statements.

Arum needs to chill, because if Cotto wins this, the floyd fight will be the biggest in boxing!!I believe he can make the Cotto fight easier, because floyd is gonna ask for the lions share & it will be easier to get with Cotto, than with Pacman!!

How long does he have left with Arum, it was a while ago all the Top Rank/Golden Boy **** happeaned over Manny.

It probably would be smart for manny to wait until that contract was up to make the fight happean, 25% of 15-20 million is a lot of bread.

I would die laughing if that is how it played out.

arum knows he can't fool anyone with this fight, he knows cotto should handle pac quite easily. however, he knows he can still milk the pinoy cow after it for one last time and it'll still generate good numbers. why not do it, if you're him? personally i wouldn't but i'm talking from a business perspective.
