  • The #1 reason I love boxing more than any other sport is because it forces you to HUMBLE YOURSELF.

When you step in the ring, you are on your own. There is going to be no one that will hold your hand. You are will not be able to blame anyone else like team sports. You took an ass whooping because you were not good enough.

No matter how great you think you are, 99.9% of the time, some fighter out there has your card.

I remember like it was yesterday when Roy Jones Jr talked about that he was the greatest of all and he's superman. The dude would never shut up. Until Tarver caught him clean and dropped him like a bag of cement.

Fighters like Naseem, Broner, Wilder, Haney and Fury all got a humbling experience It's a beautiful thing to watch.

It's only a matter of time before Tank gets his too.

Not if ur Tyson Fury, tank, wilder or Charlo bros etc u can go a decade plus with belts in this sport without fighting a single live body.

boxing world is the most deluded in all sports. Imagine u being the match maker for urself. And u determine when u fight. Go on year long breaks

boxing is trash actually. The worst.

Turki is turning boxing into what K1 was in its hey day. Not a legit sport by any stretch. But at least people are fighting

Y'all say **** like this while putting Dempsey up as an ATG and telling my Tyson's the GOAT. It's ****ing translucent bro. Absolutely no opinion I have ever read from this account has ever been anything but a vehicle to express discrimination.

**** all nothing wrong with Marciano yeah? He never did anyone dirty ever.

it’s racist to point out the fact that Ward punched a guy in the nuts 3 times in a row to win a fight by low blows

        right?

it’s racist to point out Gayweather was excused by his drug testing agency after he was caught with an illegal needle in his arm?

        these are both irrefutable facts

I would say that in boxing you can either be humble or get humbled. A guy can train hard, fight hard and have full determination while being humble. Look at Usyk and others.

But getting beat, any number of ways, is a big pill to swallow for the guy who's been taught to think he's unstoppable and always runs his mouth.

It's the same in any 1on1 sport, from wrestling to tennis.
