That has to be just the angle the picture was taken at. He can't be that skinny already, can he?

He does look a lot thinner than normal, but that could be because he's been running so much. He's been trying to increase his stamina, so I'm sure it cut into his muscle mass, though the closer the fight gets I'm sure he'll gain more muscle back. Rather have him look like a ghost now instead of on fight night.

It's amazing how quickly a thread deteriorates around here.

Anyway, I can only guess that Cotto is already close to 150. If that is the case, good for him. His conditioning coach knows what he is doing. He's going to have plenty of time to train at the relatively lighter weight and his body will adjust without enduring undue stress during the last weeks. During the last weeks as he cycles his training down, his endurance will improve, and the strategy should pay dividends in the later rounds.

On another note, I wonder if Cotto, in his mind, knows it's going to be a long night. His higher than usual dedication to his conditioning makes me think that he feels that Pacquiao's endurance, with respect to him, is Pacquiao's greatest advantage. I expect to see a higher than usual punch volume from Cotto, except in the early rounds. But, he should be in great shape to take to fight to Pacquiao in the later rounds. Unless, Pacquiao tries to bring it to him early, Cotto is betting on beating Pacquiao, if at all, in the later rounds.

He definitely looks like he cut alot of extra weight right now, hopefully it won't mess up his fatigue during fight time and he's been doing it the proper way with vitamins & minerals. Not just by running for more cardio; we all saw what happenned to Jones and Byrd when they just was running to lose the weight.

He could use a tan. Hopefully, his diet and conditioning coach is helping him adjust to the weight properly. The d&c coach's monitoring is the key.

i thought someone mentioned he was taking on the saolin nutsack training due to cotto's "technique" style of low blows. he minus well just get on his knees and work it out if he'll be doing low blows during this fight. we expect a great fight and it will go to shame if he goes for dirty tactics.

i read someone say "it's the name of the game" or "the will/determination"....if your will end determination says to cheat to win. then you definitely aren't doing it right. thanks for letting us know you think that's fine. i say pac punch cotto in the balls if he feels he needs to take cotto off his rhythm. gayness
