Old Wlad, but Fury was still the guy to end the reign.
Wlad was the best boxer Fury beat on paper, but it wasn't a great performance by either fighter. Just a one-sided slowburn.

Fury's performance in Wilder II was his best display.

Ultimately Wilder III was the best win of his career given that Wilder performed his best

    • AJ v Tyan Booth is the grudge match we all want to see.

AJ and Wilder have totally nothing in common as boxing skills and earnings power are concerned.
Joshua is the draw because he's a Brit. Unfortunately boxing just doesn't reach the masses in the same way in the US

        • Deontay just isn't Wilder anymore, he wasn't even Wild, the Fury fights did take a lot out of him.
Weighing in 30 to 40 pounds lighter than his opponent's, was a huge disadvantage for him to overcome.
When He used to fight in a wilder fashion, he used to rip power shots from odd angles that would explode on his opponents.
Which would leave them knocked out stiff as a mackerel on the canvas, not knowing what had hit'em.
That Deontay Wilder doesn't seem to exist anymore, that Wilder is more of a myth, than a legend.
I really did enjoy watching that Wilder as he destroyed one opponent, or challenger after another, he was devastating.

Wilder was billed as a KO artist and he was. If you KO over 40 str8t opponents then you are mot a con you are the truth. He was plain and simple a right ha d KO artist not a beautifully skilled boxer like Ali or Tyson. But it's over now I hope he never comes back because it's only going to het worse (someone should've said this ro Roy Jones). The sad thing about it is he went out with a whimper because no American outlet covered this and his last fight was in front of a bunch of no nothing fans being promoted by a guy he hated. Smh
he was not knocking out good opposition. thats the con. he has a 25 percent ko ratio against guys in the top 10. thats not big puncher status at all. you are only the truth if you beat good opponents which he didnt really. you are only truly a big puncher if you ko good opponents which he didnt really do. the truth is he was what you call hype. that was the whole point of matching him soft. they had the same narrative with ggg cept he actually beat 12 top 10 guys to wilders 2 and ko'd more than half of them. now ggg was overhyped as a puncher as well but he was still a good puncher, wilder not so much with his success rate

            • Wilder always ******. He had the same aura Mike Tyson had in his early career, guys fought him scared. The big difference is Tyson actually beat some good fighters to build that rep. Wilder fought cab drivers and tomato cans up until late in his career. And Wilder did have a decent chin. But he was always an awful boxer and incredibly overhyped. The ref saved him from 50 year old Ortiz in their first fight. Fury fought Wilder off the backfoot and scared for 12 rounds in their first fight, and that fear led to him getting caught. Their second fight he forgot about the hype and just stomped Wilder. Third fight he got sloppy and he took too many shots, and that fight changed them both.

Fury left some of himself in that ring and Wilder left all of it. He needs to retire but Im sure we will see him scalped by guys like Jared Anderson and a few other young guys to get that name on their resume.

Wilder was a whiny excuse ridden wildly protected moron. But I give him credit for getting into the ring and fighting and I hope he is smart enough to retire now before he suffers severe brain injury. There ain't much there to injure, but he can still live a normal life happy with family. If he keeps goijg he will end up half a vegetable.

tyson beat 10 top guys(including the champ) and wilder beat 2 top 10 guys. i dont think the boxing con artists behind the scene thought they could get away with simply saying "this guys is great' "this guy is the biggest puncher in boxing history" etc...while fighting bums but now that they know the public at large is very very ****** they have succeeded making a ton of money on a very mediocre fighter who in reality was a fringe contender level kind of guy. in the past tyson simply fought all the best guys until he lost.

Aside from waiting to land a right hand, he was pawing with a lazy left-hand jab. He didn't set up anything and when he did throw the right hand it was beautifully blocked. Top heavyweights would've been waiting for that right hand and that is what Zhang did. Once his right hand was taken away, Wilder had nothing left to throw. Wilder is the greatest hype job in heavyweight history. He knocked out B or C class fighters and that's where his record stops. He will not make the HOF. He shouldn't make the HOF.

Glad Wilder will be done. And to think if Wilder won this fight, they were going to have him fight Jared Anderson. That would have been an easy knockout for Anderson. Wilder should leave with his dignity at this point.
Anderson is just as gunshy as Wilder, without the same reasonings. Anderson will be dog food against any top Heavyweight. Might revive Wilder's career if they do fight lol.

A one dimensional right hand that cherry picked an out of shape drug addict that backfired. If he kept fighting in house cans he'd be undefeated.
                    Yep...made for great viewing!!!

Tune in and see if Wilder can attain 2 seconds of perfection or get his ass handed back in tatters.
