The first time, Rocky got iced cuz his trainer was dying in the next room and had just said he handpicked all Rocky's fights. Plus he had no defense to speak of...and moved on infinitely flat feet.

The second time, armed with the sage knowledge of a legendary Apollo Creed, rocky worked the jab, got off his flat feet and danced a little..and actually had maneuverability and some defense. Enough to get Lang outta there.

He promptly forgot these valuable skills against Drago. Clubber woulda knocked him the **** out again.

And the Dixon fight was just sad.

Yeah but in the second fight Rocky just stands there and taunts Clubber to hit him until he tires, there's no defence involved. I doubt Apollo would have taught him that. Creed wouldn't have knocked Clubber out as quick, but he wouldn't have lost around against him. Prime Creed beats everyone in the saga.

you are ******ed, it was a movie made by americans. it had nothing to do with russia. i doubt any of the filming was even made in russia, they probably filmed the rocky training scenes in colorado or something. the actor was swedish. as you can see that move had nothing at all to do with russia. it was a blatant propaganda movie made to fuel the hate on the Soviet Union and russians. simple as that.

He probably won't ever admit this, but when FMJ dreams at night, he dreams of being Apollo Creed, a real all-American hero loved by the masses (he even had the late, great James Brown doing his ring entrances, I think it was even on the 4th of July when no American boxing ever really happens... classic).

All the Rocky nuthuggers always forget to mention Drago had his enswell tampered with by team Rocky prior to the fight. And unlike Rocky, Drago wasn't afraid to have public workouts. He had nothing to hide while the rock was juicing like a mo fo up in that shack.

I'm glad someone else mentioned these points. And let's not forget, Drago's trainer was also a massive fan of Rocky Balboa. You can see clearly at 2.05 of the video that when the announcer says 'Moscow is pro Rocky' we immediatley see Drago's trainer cheering for Rocky Balboa in Russian.

Sorry yeah technically you are right. But the event was dubbed an exhibition and it wasn't sanctioned by any of the organisation bodies. Infact in the weeks after the bout the state athletic commission had the bout removed from the register so they would not be blamed for licensing it.
