Why would Wilder fight for roughly a million or so when he could earn I'm guessing 10 million plus to fight Parker and Zhang. If he had no options then he would have experimented with the new division.

If Wilder is going to fight like a typical anchored heavyweight then this was to be expected as he is really BMI wise an elongated Light Heavyweight.

When he held out for larger purses to fight Ruiz or anybody with a pulse it was sign he was checked out from trying to be hungry contender.

We did see different fights it seems. At least we can all agree the right man won. I thought two of the judges got it right at 115-113 and only the 3rd judge tried to rob him. Ball had good success in the beginning but started to get hit in the later rounds even to the point where I thought he might be knocked down. Ball was bloodied and you do not get that from being hit to the gloves.

You need to watch it again. He definitely won the later rounds (10-12) along with the 3rd and the 7th.

I'll check those rounds out again.

That blood only came from the one looping left hand when it hit Ball on the nose. Ford did land some shots, but not that many.
