Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker Picks a Winner Between His Old Opponents, Zhang And Wilder

Joseph Parker is back in Saudi Arabia this weekend but instead of fighting for his career, the 32 year-old New Zealander can sit back in a plush ringside seat and watch Filip Hrgovic, Daniel Dubois, Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder fight for the right to join him at the heavyweight division's top table.

I got Zhang by TKO. He is the better boxer.

I don't think Zhang lost to Parker, a draw more fair.

But Zhang had Parker down twice and did gas out it seemed, when we would've thought he'd stop Parker.

Zhang to beat Wilder all night, unless he gets caught with that right hand a few times.

This seems like wishful thinking on Parkers part because if Zhang forces the issue about a rematch should he win there is a very real possibility he stops Parker if they meet again.

This should be an intriguing fight, I set my alarm for it. The card is stacked, too.

If Wilder can land the right hand on Zhang, he could possibly put him to sleep, but the major size and weight differences though. Usyk proved me wrong in that theory with weight and size, but Wilder for sure is no Usyk.

Zhang is undefeated then because he def didn't lose against Hrgovic. A draw MAYBE

              Havent seen Parker fighter.

I couldn't agree more with you. Parker wishes that the possibility of him facing Zhang again would be eliminated by a Wilder win. Wilder is nothing but a washed and weak one-trick pony at this stage of his career. If he wasn't an American wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to fight on a big again after his abysmal performance vs Parker IMO.

Parker beat Wilder by a hair because Zhang barely threw a punch in round 11 and 12, despite not looking totally spent like has been claimed. He also could have finished Parker when he dropped him the 2nd time. So it's strange he picks Wilder whom he beat comfortably.

I am not sure how you could be a Zhang fan after his last fight. That was an absolute STINKER. I hope he redeems himself today!
